About Me

My photo
Doc. K.
My passion is to equip people to change lives with Christ's changeless truth through Christ-centered, comprehensive, compassionate, culturally-informed biblical counseling and spiritual formation. I've authored Soul Physicians, Spiritual Friends, Beyond the Suffering, Sacred Friendships, and God's Healing for Life's Losses. I Chair the MA in Christian Counseling and Discipleship Department at Capital Bible Seminary. In my three pastoral ministries, I trained hundreds of lay people in spiritual friendship. I am the Executive Director of the Center for Church Equipping for the Association of Biblical Counselors. I am the founder of RPM Ministries. I earned my BA in Pastoral Ministry from Baptist Bible College, my ThM in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Grace Seminary, and my PhD in Counselor Education from Kent State University. I live in Crown Point, IN with my wife of twenty-nine years, Shirley. We have two children: Marie, 22, and Josh, 25, who is married to Andi.
